Infuriated at having to sell their produce at throwaway prices, due to COVID-19 , that snatched away the farmers livelihood at the blink of an eye, they dumped vegetables like tomatoes, on a highway in Hisar, Haryana. This ten-day protest that was held across eight Indian states, inspired me to portray their feelings through these ceramic rotten tomatoes.
